Travel by Tube

The Jubilee Line is recommended as the quickest route to ExCeL London.

Alight at Canning Town to change onto the DLR (upstairs from the Jubilee Line level - trains normally depart from platform 3) for the quick two-stop journey to Custom House for ExCeL.

Note - visitors should be aware that DLR trains in the direction of Beckton serve ExCeL London - do not use DLR services in the direction of Woolwich Arsenal or King George V from Canning Town.

Public bus service 147 departs from bay B of Canning Town station to Custom House.

Additionally, a fully signposted walking route is provided from the main exit of Canning Town bus station for anyone who wishes to complete their journey to the venue by foot.

Blue directional signs guide you to the main west entrance of ExCeL London. The walk takes approximately 12-15 minutes.

ExCeL London is located in zone 3 and London Underground tickets are valid on the DLR. It is recommended that you purchase a return ticket or an All-Day Travelcard to avoid queuing on your journey home.

Important Public Transport Information
Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th March

As a result of planned improvement works across the London transport network, normal advertised routes to ExCeL London will be affected.

Line closures on the Jubilee line and Docklands Light Railway (DLR) between Canning Town to Beckton (Sunday only) mean the following route should be used, for journeys to ExCeL London by public transport.

Saturday 13th – take the DLR from Tower Gateway bound for Beckton (direct to ExCeL) or from Bank, bound for Woolwich Arsenal. Change at Canning Town onto a Beckton service if travelling from Bank. Alight at Custom House for the ExCeL main entrance.

Sunday 14th - alight at Canning Town and head into Canning Town bus station for standard rail replacement bus services to Custom House. Use the DLR footbridge to access the main ExCeL entrance.
