How do I get there?

From ExCeL London take the DLR to Poplar and change for a Lewisham bound train. Disembark at Cutty Sark.

Come and stand on the world-famous Meridian Line, which represents the Prime Meridian of the World, Longitude 0º, home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Have your photo taken with one foot in the eastern hemisphere and one foot in the western hemisphere. The Meridian Courtyard is open until 20.00 from 3 May until 31 August 2008 inclusive. The Royal Observatory, Greenwich and Peter Harrison Planetarium are open daily from 10.00 until 17.00.

Built for the purpose of finding longitude at sea, the Royal Observatory is home of Greenwich Mean Time and the famous Prime Meridian of the World. Sir Christopher Wren's Royal Observatory is also a museum of time and astronomy, where it is still possible to see how the Astronomers Royal used to live and work. The Royal Observatory also houses London's only public planetarium, which provides a magnificent introduction to the mysteries and wonders of the night sky.
