Impressive visitor growth at Liftex is one of the highlights of a great month at ExCeL London

At Liftex the UK's largest event for the lift and escalator industry, visitor numbers were 15% up compared to the last time the event was held in 2007.

Between the 12th and 13th May at ExCeL London more visitors than ever before attended the UK’s largest event for the lift and Escalator industry.

Bob Hudson, Managing Director at Show organisers Room 13 Ltd said "Liftex 2010 will go down as the industry's best event to date. We invested heavily in our marketing campaign to ensure that not only did visitor numbers increase but so did their purchasing power. Our exhibitors were delighted with their return on investment at Liftex . Many stated they exceeded expectations and seen strong sales for their products".

Liftex 2010 also boasted a record number of exhibitors from outside the UK, making the event truly international for the first time. The success of Liftex adds to an impressive month for events at ExCeL London, with several shows seeing strong visitor growth. Jeremy Rees, Sales Director, ExCeL London said "May has been a hugely successful month for events at ExCeL London. Our new expansion opened on 1st May, on time and on budget, with 5 separate events taking place simultaneously over the May bank holiday weekend the venue handled over 50,000 visitors. Grand Designs Live saw a 9% increase in visitor numbers per day and the success of Liftex and the London International Wine and Spirit Fair are proof that face to face meetings are still a crucial part of the marketing mix for companies and brands to interact with their customers”"
