Steve Melrose has been appointed Director of a newly formed Services Division at ExCeL London and has also been promoted to the Executive Committee.
The new services division has been created to spearhead all aspects of ExCeL London's service delivery and in particular is designed to reinforce the company's commitment to the guest experience, which sets the benchmark for the UK industry.
Commenting on the new division, Jamie Buchan, ExCeL London Chief Executive: "ExCeL London is a service company. This new directorate underlines ExCeL London's determination to provide outstanding service to all our customers and its creation ensures that our brand of service delivery sets us apart from our competition. Steve Melrose has worked at ExCeL London for five years and this appointment bears testimony to his commitment and ability to deliver world class service."
Says Steve Melrose, Director of Services: "This is a very exciting challenge. There is a huge pool of talent in ExCeL London and many people are developing really good ideas for better services to enhance and exemplify ExCeL London's point of difference. My aim is to ensure we turn more of these good ideas into reality, which can be used to further develop our strong customer focus."
The Services Division comprises visitor services, event management, cleaning, traffic, H&S and security functions.
