Friday Jun 25, 2004

The 2004 London International Wine & Spirits Fair saw a record attendance on opening day at ExCeL London. The show ran from 18th-20th May and saw 6,494 visitors come through the door on the first day.

The London Wine & Spirits Fair has seen an increase in visitors year on year and 2004 was no exception. With 17,727 visitors coming to the show, it was a 7% increase from 2003.
This reflects ExCeL London's growing trend of increasing visitors at repeat shows. In the last twelve months, repeat shows at ExCeL London have seen an average increase of 32% in visitors

Says Show Director, James Murray: "We are delighted with the success of the show, particularly in terms of the number of overseas visitors, which represented 25% of the total audience and puts the LIWSF firmly on the map as a truly international exhibition."

Jamie Buchan, ExCeL London's Chief Executive commented: "ExCeL London is in the perfect location in London to help Brintex increase their international visitors. London City Airport is 5 minutes away, which means a quick and easy journey for overseas visitors. Future plans for Eurostar to operate from Stratford in 2007, will further support the view that we are located in London's new 'gateway to Europe."'

The London International Wine & Spirits Fair will return to ExCeL London 17th – 19th May 2005.
