London - October 2004 - Following on from the success of Channel 4's A Place in the Sun programme, which attracts over 3.5 million viewers, A Place in the Sun magazine was launched in March 2004, and quickly established itself as the UK's best-selling overseas property magazine. Following on from this success, the exhibition A Place in the Sun Live! is being launched at ExCeL, London in 2005, to bring this fantastic brand directly to its audience.
Brooklands Exhibitions, a division of the Brooklands Group, is the force behind the two launch exhibitions, which are taking place over three days at ExCeL London London in April and October 2005. "A Place in the Sun Live is set to be the biggest and best overseas property, travel and lifestyle show in the UK," said Darren Styles, Chief Executive of the Brooklands Group. "It will provide an unrivalled showcase for businesses to reach an audience interested in everything from finding a property through to making the best use of it as a second home and as a rental investment."
Over 200 exhibitors are expected at the show, covering a broad range of areas from developers and currency brokers to ferry companies and airlines. Gerald Larkin, A Place in the Sun Sales Manager said: "We have been overwhelmed by the positive response to A Place in the Sun Live! In only two months of selling, the exhibition is over 75 per cent sold."
In addition to the many exhibitors, there will be a number of interactive features. A Place in the Sun and its sister titles everything France, everything Spain and everything America will present four themed areas dedicated to the food, travel and culture of the countries represented at the exhibition.
The main stage at the heart of the show will play host to a myriad of celebrities sharing their own experiences of buying a property overseas. In addition, a number of exciting entertainment acts will be performing on the stage, details of which will be announced soon.
After all this activity, there will be the chance to relax in the two seminar theatres and listen to the wealth of experience and knowledge from the invited speakers, as well as take part in Q & A sessions on many topics from currency to emigration.
