ExCeL London's New Conference Suite Opens With Top IT Clients

Thursday May 06, 2004

ExCeL London's new Platinum Conference Suite will open on 1st September with the first of three clients from the IT industry. Oracle will be the first customer in the new £3m Platinum Conference Suite, followed by SAP and PeopleSoft.

ExCeL London was chosen above many national and European venues to host the three conferences. This reflects ExCeL London's increasing success in attracting European business to London.

The new conference centre is targeted at the 500-1,200 delegate market and incorporates plenary, dining and break-out facilities, together with a dedicated reception, lobby, coffee bar and associated services.

Says Jamie Buchan, ExCeL London's Chief Executive: "ExCeL London's determination is to accelerate it's core strategy of attracting national and international conferences by leveraging the £300m hotel, restaurant and conference facilities which have already been provided as part of it's campus to serve this market. ExCeL London is a world-class conference & exhibition centre and will play an increasingly prominent role in winning business for London."

ExCeL London also offers delegates 5 on-site hotels with 1,500 hotel rooms within a 5 minute walk of the conference centre, over 30 bars, cafes and restaurants, easy access to the rest of London by DLR and tube and is located adjacent to London City Airport and 40 minutes from Stanstead.
