UK'SBIGGEST RECRUITMENT FAIR CELEBRATES FOURTH YEAR AT ExCeL London
To celebrate it's fourth year at ExCeL London, Careers and Jobs Live 2004 is showcasing a brand new feature - the Thames Gateway Learning & Jobs Zone, making it the largest single recruitment, training and education fair in England. The zone, which is being headed up by Docklands based Satsuma Consultancy, aims to spotlight local opportunities for employers and potential employees within the Thames Gateway.
Says Jamie Buchan, ExCeL London Chief Executive: "The Thames Gateway is Europe's most rapidly growing region, with thousands of new jobs and homes appearing every year. It may also become home to the 2012 Olympics, and as one of the proposed venues for the Olympics, we are very pleased to see Careers & Jobs Live introducing a new zone which recognises the opportunities that growth on the sort of scale we are currently experiencing will bring."
The zone features five specific areas: jobs, training and learning opportunities, advice & guidance, self-employment and About the Thames Gateway. The Thames Gateway zone offers a highly targeted opportunity for people looking for jobs in their own locality or organizations wanting to recruit within their own area.
Says Bruce Birchall, Exhibition Director: "With stand sales way ahead of 2003, we are really looking forward to another successful Careers and Jobs Live at ExCeL London. Jarvis Exhibitions was one of the first exhibition organisers to recognise the potential of ExCeL London and we are now on our fourth show at the venue. The development and success of the show has been helped by the strong steering committee of local industry, commerce, media, training and education providers taking the time to input ideas and develop the show content."
Birchall continues: "The Thames Gateway area has been singled out for regeneration in the UK, so to support this initiative we have launched our new zone, which will focus on jobs and employers within the Thames Gateway area. Also central to the show this year will be the theme of upskilling and training. Many of the employers will also feature quality training as part of the package of the jobs on offer,"
