Complying with the principles and standards of the BS8901 Implementation Programme is part of ExCeL’s long-term strategy to have a positive impact on the environment, community and business offering.
The programme sets benchmarks for planning and managing sustainable events of all sizes and types. Its guidelines apply to all aspects of the supply chain and focus on improving sustainable performance by reducing carbon emissions and waste, improving resource efficiency and the positive social impact of events. ExCeL London aims to be fully compliant and BS8901 certified by Autumn 2010.
