Over the past couple of years our customers have increasingly been raising environmental considerations with us. They want venues with a thoughtful approach to managing environmental impact and a record of environmental achievement.
Our waste falls into:

- Wood
- Carpet
- Food
In 2007 we recycled about 13% of our waste onsite. Between our onsite and offsite facilities, ExCeL recycled 78% of its waste. This meant that we reduced the amount going to landfill by 17% in 2007. We aim to increase our onsite recycling by 10% in 2008. In the last year we have reduced our gas consumption by 56% and our electricity consumption by 15%. This has led to us reducing our C02 emissions by 31%.
