The event had one primary objective – to communicate Philips 'Simplicity' positioning through a brand awareness showcase featuring futuristic new design concepts. Philips 'Simplicity' is a brand promise to create technology solutions across the healthcare and lifestyle sectors.
TFI Lodestar were enlisted by Philips to create an event which reflected the brand values of simplicity and minimalism to a global audience of media, key customers, stakeholders, staff and members of the design community.
One key factor when designing the event concept was identifying a venue whose look and feel reflected the 'Simplicity' theme and high- specification designs of the concepts displayed. TFI needed a blank canvas on which to project the Philips 'Simplicity' concept, which also matched up to the event's reputation and the prestigious audience.
- Event Solution
With its large, flexible-use halls, its location in London's dynamic eastside, and its technological capacity, ExCeL London provided the ideal solution. While size was not a determining factor, the vast halls, Wi-Fi and 3G readiness and advanced lighting rigs also meant that TFI Lodestar could really spread their creative wings and provide an inspiring experience for the 1,500 invitation-only delegates.
Further benefits, which made ExCeL London the obvious choice for TFI Lodestar and its client, were the excellent transport links from central London and Europe (a number of delegates arrived via the nearby London City Airport), and the ability to 'own' the space through branding.
TFI Lodestar created a whole new world within ExCeL London's walls which was cool, contemporary and stylish. Delegates were able to explore a series of zones where concepts and products could be seen, touched, demonstrated and shown how they will integrate simply and seamlessly into lifestyles of today and the future. ExCeL London's unbranded and uncluttered spaces provided the perfect backdrop for the products and allowed the 'Simplicity' brand promise to shine through.
