- Requirements
The Kingsway International Christian Centre needed a suitable venue to host Europe's premier Christian conference. The event lasted for 5 days and included a conference, 2,000 sqm exhibition and evening concert.
Delegates, including senior pastors and ministers, came from all over the world so a venue with good international transport links was essential.
With 10,000 people attending over 5 days, access to plenty of hotel rooms and local area accommodation was also a key consideration.
- Event Solution
ExCeL London's multi-purpose Event Halls provided KICC with the ideal space to host their event. Unrestricted by pillars or awkward corners, the Halls were used for all elements of the event, including separate areas for a crèche and the event's 'DA X' hall, designed specifically for 1,000 teenagers.
Many of the 10,000 international delegates were able to take advantage of ExCeL London's close proximity to London City Airport. The Airport, which is located 5 minutes from ExCeL London, offers 350 flights a day and provides access from 30 key destinations including Barcelona, Frankfurt, Milan, Paris, New York and Zurich.
ExCeL London has over 30 cafès, bars and restaurants, which catered for the 10,000 delegates on a daily basis. The venue has 5 onsite hotels, ranging from luxury to budget, all within just a few minutes walk of the main entrance. In addition, there are over 10,000 hotel rooms within 20 minutes of ExCeL London, which helped to accommodate delegates during their 5 day visit.
