The European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers

  • Client - The European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers (EAGE)
  • Event - The European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers Conference and Exhibition
  • Delegate numbers - 6,300 (25% higher than previous years)

  • Requirements

A destination with huge delegate appeal and an array of social activities and sightseeing opportunities on offer, were key factors in determining which city this annual event was to be held in.

The chosen venue needed to offer high-spec, flexible event space and excellent European transport links.

  • Event Solution

EAGEThe four day event focused on the increasing global energy demand and the need to secure a continued supply to ensure the progress of mankind. The conference encouraged knowledge exchange and integration between a mix of Geo disciplines.

The event was spread across a range of ExCeL London’s event spaces. The main conference sessions took place in the Platinum Suite whilst additional lectures took place within the Gallery Rooms. The exhibition in the Event Halls comprised 365 exhibitors – an increase of 38% on the previous year’s exhibitor numbers.

  • Results

EAGEThe combination of excellent networking opportunities, a diverse social programme and the accessibility of the host city meant that attendance figures soared to 6,300 – 25% higher that at any previous EAGE conference.

“The cooperation, flexibility and the willingness to think with us as an association that do things differently, made our event more professional. I strongly recommend ExCeL London to other companies, PCOs and associations around the world for events.” Ricardo Vivas van Leeuwen, Conference and Exhibition Manager for EAGE
